that part of it should be devoted to the welfare of

the Naval and Military forces.

The conditions of the lease are inter

alia a tenure of five years, after which the matter

can be reconsidered, no premium, annual Crown Rent

of $1.00, a Building Covenant of $25,000, and a

restriction confining user of the area to entertainment

and recreation of the members of His Majesty's Forces

in Hong Kong. To meet the wishes of the Military

Authorities the building is restricted to two normal

storeys in height.
